Bunting Neighborhood Leadership Program

Strengthening Communities Through Transformative Leadership

group

The Bunting Neighborhood Leadership Program develops community leaders who make transformational changes that foster healthy, thriving communities in Baltimore.

Established in 2016, the Bunting Neighborhood Leadership Program (BNLP) was launched as a unique initiative designed to equip the next generation of Baltimore’s community leaders with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to lead transformational change. This year-long fellowship:

  • Enhances the capacity of passionate Baltimore community advocates with the skills to help improve the trajectory of health in their communities.
  • Keeps authentic community voice at the center of leadership learning.
  • Provides a safe environment for Fellows to be authentic and grow through self-discovery, critical reflection, constructive support, and guidance from faculty and mentors.
  • Engages Fellows in a content-rich Culture of Health curriculum focused on activating human capabilities as the foundation of a flourishing future for Baltimore: Livable habitat, healthy people, resilient communities, empowered citizens, and shared prosperity.
  • Identifies and collaborates with engaged community leaders to serve as faculty, mentors, and BNLP community advisory board.
